Guest & Business Reviews for our Eyeries Bed and Breakfast West Cork
Coulagh Bay House Eyeries Bed and Breakfast testimonial from Hillwalk Tours when you are visiting the scenic area of Eyeries on the scenic Beara Peninsula.
“With fantastic facilities and spacious rooms, we’re delighted that we can recommend Coulagh Bay House. We’re inundated with positive comments from walkers who have stayed here on the Beara Peninsula, such as ‘Therese is incredibly helpful and friendly and provided excellent food which kept us going on our hikes.’ We truly care that our walkers have a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable trip, and Coulagh Bay House helps us to provide them with just that.”

“Wonderful port in a storm”
Randomly chose the Coulagh Bay House off the internet, to be honest, and were very happy to arrive (in threatening weather) to Therese’ welcome. We made to feel at home immediately. Therese gave us the advice we needed to explore and enjoy the area.
The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was more than enough to sustain us the next day.
It’s a truly lovely area, btw; the town of Eyeries is picture-perfect; all pastel-coloured houses, neat as a pin. Clearly a town that takes great pride. I almost expected to see Doc Martin striding down the hill.
“A rare find”
We stayed for two nights at this top class b&b .from start to finish our stay was fantastic. The beautiful bed rooms were very modern and spotless. The ensuite bathroom was finished to executive standard.we had a very pleasant cup of coffee in our room and were delighted to have this facility .we met our host Theresa who made us part of the family we even got to meet nana and oscar the cat.our stay was delightful all our needs were taken care of I enquired about renting a bike and it was delivered helmet and all ,thanks to Theresa .we were recommended to eat in the local restaurant and it sure did live up to its great reputation ..I can honestly say that coulagh bay house is by far the best hidden gem along our beautiful west cork coast that we have experienced . we had a super breakfast ,divine coffee and I loved the music a real irish welcome.we got to know Theresa as a true professional along side with her sister in law who takes care of the beautiful gardens and lots more .it was great to see the chickens from our room ,the ocean views and the back drop of magnificent mountains.i can’t speak highly enough about our stay ,only to say we certainly will be back .thanks for a wonderful stay and happy memories .:-)

The family that runs Coulagh Bay house was exceptionally helpful. They received us wet walkers and allowed us to hang our wet gear in their barn. The front porch window overlooking the sea was so relaxing. The room was clean and breakfast was good. Nice walking distance to the tidy town of Eyries.
“Very nice view and stay”
Nice Location and despite it stays Close to the main road, the rooms are very quiet.
Nice view over the beach with wonderful moods in the evening. Very helpful hoast. Very clean. Only 5min walk to the village.
“What more could you ask for….”
We visit Ireland a few times a year & always stay in the Coulagh Bay House. It is a wonderful place to stay. Therese cannot do enough for you. Rooms are just right, clean, bright & fresh. Where the house is situated, gives you the best views ever of the bay. It is such a beautiful place to see. Parking just outside of the house & the village of Eyeries is a short walk away. I’ll be going back this year, so easy to arrange with just a quick phone call!
“Trip To Eyeries”
Have just returned home with the Bundy family from a trip to Eyeries staying at Coulagh Bay House B&B. It’s in the most beautiful spot with amazing views with a fantastic host Therese. From the moment we arrived, there were 6 of us, we were made to feel so welcome. We had 5 of the 6 rooms available and all were lovely, very clean, smelt fresh and well appointed. We all slept really well and had a great breakfast with plenty of choice. This place is so much more than a B&B and it’s definitely worth a visit if you are visiting Beara you will not be disappointed. Thanks Therese for a great weekend.
“Happy days! ”
Beautiful location, great rooms, comfy beds, fabulous breakfast and our hostess Therese was so lovely, friendly and helpful! A real gem and would highly recommend! Travelled with 3 adults and 6 kids. Local people very hospitable. Would advise booking restaurant in village in advance as it fills up early.
The Coulagh Bay House offers what you’d hope from every B&B in Ireland: comfortable and clean rooms and baths, a welcoming host, and astonishing views. Therese is the perfect host. She makes you feel at home even if you’re not Irish and offers tips on the area without being overbearing or intrusive. I arrived hot and disheveled from an all-day trip from London and she generously offered to wash clothes. The bed was comfortable and the sunset sky overlooking the bay from the windows an inspiration. Breakfast had all you could ask for. Truly a haven amidst heavenly landscapes.
We stayed in this gem of a place in Eyeries West Cork last month, it was absolutely a pleasure to deal with Therese the owner of the B & B, she was so helpful and made us feel so comfortable. The place was great, our room was beautiful and the breakfast was perfect, nothing was too much trouble, my wife asked for an omlette, I wanted full breakfast and it was cooked fresh and was delicious.
